Founder's message
Elevated Enviro’s focus is to connect people. We want to fill in the communication gap between producers of waste and those who can divert it from landfills. We want to give people the vital information, clearly, to make a decision regarding their waste. Elevated Enviro sees potential to carry this idea to other industries to make richer connections in the communities we work and live in.

About Courtney
Courtney Powell was born in Calgary, Alberta but raised in Edmonton, which made battle of Alberta games very interesting. Spending the last 20 years in Edmonton, he has laid down his roots and calls Sherwood Park home.
He played football throughout high school and eventually played for the Edmonton Huskies CJFL team until 2005. He graduated from MacEwan University as its first anthropology major under their new University banner in 2009.
Since graduating, he found his path in sales and business development. He worked in the food industry, waste industry and most recently the post-secondary sector. It was after his time in the waste industry where the inspiration for Elevated Enviro arose.
He saw there was a gap between companies/everyday people who produced waste and the facilities that process waste and what they could achieve for waste diversion and recycling. Through his experience, he knew that most of the waste produced goes to landfills when it could be diverted or recycled. Diversion allows a second life to products we throw away and in return, we reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce financial costs associated with landfills.
