Waste Diversion Elevated Enviro Ratings:

UBER EATS, McDonald’s

Elevated Enviro rates everyday products based on how much of their waste can be diverted from the landfill, waste diversion. We look at products through reduce , reuse and recycle. We hope that this information provides shoppers with the tools they need to make a difference in the environment. Let’s see how UBER EATS does.

We were sent two large bags when one would do just fine. The amount of paper waste is incredible. One bag had our drinks in it the other had the fries and burgers. One bag would’ve worked just fine.

All the food could be be composted if not eaten, but don’t worry it was eaten! The paper packaging for the fries and burger could potentially be composted after use along with the napkins. If these are just paper there would be no issue here. The plastic lids and straws are made of an unknown plastic grade and quality. The lids and straws will likely be landfilled as a result. The cups typically can’t be recycled as they have a mix of paper, unknown wax and maybe plastic. These materials would have to be separated in order for them to be recycled.

All if the excessive waste and the amount if it gives UBER EATS an 0.5 out of 5.
